About AZ Tests

Exam AZ-900 is a Microsoft test for technology professionals in fields such as IT, software development, and database management. Passing this exam results in a certification that shows employers and industry leaders that you have all necessary foundational knowledge in general cloud concepts as well as expertise in Microsoft Azure.

The content of the exam is broken down as follows:

  • Describing cloud concepts (25–30%)
  • Describing Azure architecture and services (35–40%)
  • Describing Azure management and governance (30–35%)

This is a technical exam, which means Microsoft scores performance on a scale from 1 to 1,000 with 700 being a passing score. This does not necessarily mean candidates must get 70% of the questions correct, however; this is a scaled score, meaning there are multi-part questions that require unique scoring methods that can award all, some, or none of the points possible.

The Azure Fundamentals test lasts just 45 minutes, but that does not mean it is easy. To be sure you have the requisite knowledge on cloud concepts, Azure services and workloads, security and privacy, pricing and support, and more, it’s important to study and test your knowledge. Our free AZ-900 practice tests are the perfect way to prepare for the questions you’ll likely see on exam day!
